My friend Amelia convinced me to enter my ‘Dopamine Disco’ project, into a dragons den style funding event.
15 project ideas were submitted and the people of Sheffield voted for the best 4 to proceed to the next round.
Dopamine disco got through to the finals!
So now I really have to do it! I actually have to stand on stage at Sheffield’s prestigious Crucible theatre in front of 200 people pitch the project.
One of the symptoms of my Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is that when I get stressed and nervous, my arm tremors, I slur my words and my legs lock up. So I’m really taking one for the PD team just by getting on stage, plus I’m considering dancing too, so it’s brown-alert for me.
But I can’t do it alone
